Recordings for the Blind
We produce sound recordings for blind and partially sighted listeners, of numerous booklets, brochures, documents and manuals for individual businesses, organisations and government departments.
Most people are familiar with talking newspapers and talking books. Making documents available in audio format is a versatile way of communication with people who have restricted vision
Our specialist service includes the adaptations required for transcribing from print to spoken word, together with comprehensive indexing in the recording. Although traditionally audio cassettes tapes have been used for this, CDs have now taken over this role and we can advise on and produce in any analogue or digital format.
Years of Experience
We have many years' experience of converting material to audio. You will receive informed advice on all aspects of the production process, and a final product that uses techniques that engage and inform the listener.
Once recorded, the project is digitally edited and mastered. When the master is approved the product is duplicated and prepared for distribution.
We also include full design and packaging, and where required, Braille labelling.
